270 Valencia Street

Brian Spiers acquired 270 Valencia Street, a 10k square foot parcel with an existing dilapidated one story automotive repair shop in early 2003. Brian secured entitlements for a 6-story, 28 unit-condominium with 4k square feet of ground floor retail in early 2004 despite facing significant opposition. Brian was able to gain consensus among the various Mission neighborhood groups who were at that time vehemently opposed to new condominium development and any displacement or demolition of an existing business regardless of its derelict condition. Brian Spiers Construction Inc. built a four-story wood structure over a two-story concrete structure which included an underground garage. The new condo’s came on the market in September 2005 and were successfully sold out by February 2006.
